Tails in the City Halloween Pet Parade

You and your dog do not want to miss the 8th annual Tails in the City Halloween Pet Parade! Our Halloween Pet Parade is one of the most popular pet friendly Halloween events in Chicago. The parade kicks off at 11:00 am from Tails in the City pet boutique located at One East Delaware Place. Join over 200 dogs as we parade to Washington Square Park for an afternoon of fun. Admission is $10 and proceeds go to PAWS Chicago. This event is not to be missed. Costume Contest, prizes, refreshments, goodie bags, and more!

Thanks to everyone who came out on Friday May 13th for our 7 year anniversary party. Guests enjoyed open bar and light hors douvres. Doggies strolled the red carpet, enjoyed gourmet dog treats and had an opportunity to get a reading from pet intuitive Denise Zak. Other fun activities included caricature artists, photo booth, makeovers in the Bobbi Panter Beauty Lounge, pet portraits by Bum Bul Bee Photography, and much more! Tails in the City is so excited for the 5th Annual Animal Magnetism Event! You and your significant pooch are invited to attend PAWS Chicago's 5th Annual Animal Magnetism event on Friday, February 4 from 7 p.m. to midnight at Galleria Marchetti. This is a great night for you and your pooch.

Guests will enjoy a delicious italian dinner, dancing, an open bar, unique silent and live auctions... and much more! The event will be emceed by Fox Chicago's Anna Davlantes.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the 7th annual Tails in the City Halloween Pet Parade. Over 200 dogs paraded from Tails in the City down Delaware to Washington Square Park for a costume contest with prizes, doggie agility from K9 University, and delicious $1 hot dogs from Downtown Dogs. All of our contestants looked amazing! The judges had a real tough time picking winners in all of the different categories. A special thank you to Bobbi Panter and Kathy Stevens for judging our event. A good time was had by all and everyone left with a goodie bag filled with lots of special treats! Thank You To Everyone Who Came Out To Walk With Us On October 17th! The First Annual Bark For Breast Cancer Charity Walk Was A Big Success. Doggies Were Decked Out In Their Commemorative Pink Bandanas And Humans Were Proudly Sporting The Commemorative T-Shirt Designed Especially For This Event. We Exceeded Our Target Fund Raising Goal And A Good Time Was Had By All. Congratulations To Lucy Levy For Raising The Most Money And Winning A Beautiful Gift Basket Filled With Goodies From Cosmedic Skin & Body Clinic and Tails in the City Pet Boutique. A Very Special Thanks To Our Friends At Cosmedic Clinic For Organizing This Great Event. We Can Hardly Wait To Do It Again Next Year!

Annual Canine Cruise - June 24th

Come aboard the Skyline Queen with your canine companion! Mercury, Chicago's Skyline Cruiseline kicks off their season with an annual Canine Cruise to benefit The Anti-Cruelty Society. Over 70 Chicagoland animal lovers and their dogs will enjoy treats and a refreshing architectural cruise.

Location: Mercury Cruiseline - Departing from its Riverside Gardens dock, lower level and southeast corner of the Michigan Avenue bridge and Wacker Drive (look for the blue awning).

Date: Thursday, June 24

Time: 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Cost: $35 per person

One of the highlights at the 6th annual Tails in the City Anniversary Party was the doggie model search contest. Dogs of all shapes and sizes entered a contest with the grand prize being a chance to appear in a national ad campaign for Scooter's Friends, a feature on www.tailsinthecity.com, an exclusive poster, one night stay at Affinia Chicago for dog and owner, a Tails in the City gift certificate, a Bobbi Panter Gift Basket, and a Stella & Chewy's gift basket.

Chicago’s premier pet-friendly black tie gala will draw more than 750 guests at Chicago's famous Drake Hotel, many escorted by their canine companions. Lucky dogs in attendance will be treated to a doggie buffet, animal communicator and dog spa, complete with an animal masseuse.
